BAR-R

Custom Wood Panel Installation  |  Wyoming

8 PANELS  |  500 LBS EACH  |  8' x 12'

WOOD PANELS, NOT GLASS

Eight custom wood panels, each weighing 500 lbs at 8' x 12', for exterior automated roller shade system at Bar-R in Wyoming. The panels were furniture-grade finished wood designed to function as sun-filtering roller shades in partnership with automated systems. Standard glass lifting equipment couldn't grip wood slat construction safely. The panels required precise lifting, tilting, and positioning while roller shade guides were attached—demanding specialized equipment adaptation beyond conventional glass handling capability.

WE BUILT THE BRACKET WE NEEDED

Custom bracket engineering for wood panel installation. We fabricated a specialized bracket that attached to the SmartLift SL 380 and fit precisely between the wood slats without damaging the furniture-grade finish. The custom bracket lifted and tilted each 500 lb panel into position and held it securely while the automated roller shade guides were attached. This equipment adaptation allowed safe handling of non-glass panels using glass lifting equipment—demonstrating capability beyond standard sliding glass installation.

In partnership with Door Automation Systems, the installation created an automated exterior shading system that blocks glare while maintaining the architectural design of the Wyoming residence.
